Oh my goodness, this is very exciting. And this is so not Julie, in case you haven’t already noticed. Instead, this is Ali, from The Way I See It, and I am guest blogging for the lovely Julie for the blog swap on The Classy Closet. Woo hoo! I’m pumped. Oh! And Julie’s posting over on my blog, so I encourage you all to go check her post out. Alright, enough intro talk. Let’s do this.
Disclaimer: I’m posting this with no direction whatsoever. In other words, I am writing off the top of my head, so do bare with me. Or bear with me. However it’s spelled, do that with me.
So I know that Julie loves all things organization, and what do ya know? So. Do. I. In fact, I’ve often heard the words “anal rententive,” “neurotic,” and “insanely neat” (and not in the whole, ‘gee Ali. I think you’re neat!’ way) used to describe me. But oh well, I’m a Type A and proud of it. And to prove it to you all, I give you some examples of my organized little self:
- I’ve been known to alphabetize my CDs (and my cassette tapes when I was younger and those were all the rage…Madonna’s The Immaculate Collection and Ace of Base immediately come to mind).
- I hang up the clothes in my closet by type of clothing. As in sweatshirts, dresses, yadda yadda yadda.
- I am a list makin’ machine! You name it, I have a list for it. And it’s not out of the ordinary for me to make lists of lists. Crazy? Maybe. Everything in order? Definitely.
- I’m a magazine addict. So if I find something in one that I want to get, I dog ear it. Then I go to my computer and add said item to a list. Oh, did you know I love lists? See above.
And now that I’ve made myself out to be a complete and utter nut, I’ll end that list. Besides, I think you get the idea.
It’s weird. Julie and I were randomly paired up for this blog swap, but a part of me feels we were chosen to swap for each other for a reason, since we seem to be of pretty similar types.

Julie and my worst nightmare!
At any rate, do yourself a favor and stay organized. Or don’t. You are who you are, just like I’m neurotically organized and don’t plan on changing anytime soon.
{This has been an Ali/Classy Closet Blog Swap production.}
OH you two with your organizing skills. I. AM. JEALOUS. I am the most unorganized person…I am your worst nightmare, lol! Glad you two were paired up!
It was a great combination! Who knew? Jen did you have a rhyme or reason to pairing blogs?
Hey, ALI!!!
This is Penny!
The swap SO exciting! I want to do it!!!
AND-I need to hire one of u to organize my stuff-I’m not out of control, but I wouldn’t say I’m organized. THAT PIC tho!! OMG!! I had a terrible boos who-among other things- had a desk that looked like that. The pile wasn’t THAT high, but it was shocking. I was like, “Doesn’t HIS boss come into here and think he won’t be able to be prepared or do his work?! He had to be losing things in there! I think if u have a messy desk, you run the risk of being more likely to be fired…
Hey Ali – Nice post today. I love blog swaps and getting introduced to new bloggers! I’m getting better with being organized these days. It’s not my strong point at the moment. And I do love making lists. It’s the only way I get anything done!
